Better than advertised

I have a Exp48Pro. The company advertised the 60 solar panel could recharge that battery in 6 hours approximately. I depleted the battery fully. Hooked up the panel to it in full sun. 4.5 hours later it’s charged. I hooked the battery up to a/c to check if it was truly charged. It was fully charged. 10/11/24.

Ok so far canoe tripping

Used this with the EXP48 battery on a backcountry canoeing trip. Left the panel open on top of our packs in the canoe, sunny days. Charged the battery from 2 bars to 3 bars all day. Meh...but about what was described. Enough charge provided that I was able to run my cpap for 4 nights vs my test of the battery at home which did not make it through the 3rd night. Son charged his phone camera 30% or so that got it through the trip as well. Seems robust. Lashed it (folded up) on top of one of the dry bags for the portages and it survived.

EXP PRO 60 Watt Solar Panel - 4 Panel (Universal Compatibility)

The EXP PRO Summit 60 Watt Solar Panel is the most efficient folding panel available, compacting to a convenient size of just 13.5” x 12” x 1.75”. After extensive testing of various market options, we confidently offer this product as the best in its class, providing exceptional value for its price.

This panel has guaranteed compatibility with EXP PRO batteries. Just unfold the panel, plug it in, point it at the sun and power up.

The EXP PRO 60 Watt Solar Panel is designed to be a truly compact and portable charging solution for the EXP PRO Battery line, as well as other devices including cell phones, tablets, cameras, and more. Please consult the manufacturer of any additional devices you intend to connect to the solar panel to ensure compatibility.

The EXP PRO 60 Watt Solar Panel is specifically designed for use with the EXP48PRO and EXP96PRO batteries. These batteries have a maximum solar charge current limit, making the 60-watt panel an optimal choice for efficient and safe charging without exceeding their capacity.

Through extensive testing, we've found the most versatile solar panel solution for charging any power station. Our solar panel puts out 18-22 volts; the higher voltage is essential for charging the battery efficiently and in a variety of conditions.

Our 60W monocrystalline solar cell has a high conversion efficiency of 23.5%

The EXP PRO Solar Panel is waterproof (except control box) and high-temperature resistant.

 Contents

1) 60-Watt EXP PRO folding solar panel

2) 40" Power cord (connection from solar panel to battery)

3) 45” USB output Cable with 3 options for input:

    - USB-C plug

    - Apple "Lightning” plug

    - USB Micro M plug for cell phones, GPS units and digital cameras

4) Four (4) carabiners for hanging from backpack or other structure.

Instructions:

  1. Open the solar panel and place it on a clean, dry, flat surface in direct sunlight. Look for the red light to illuminate on the control box contained in the pouch.
  2. Plug one end of the solar charge cord into the “IN” port on the battery and the other end into the port contained within the pouch of the solar panel using the 2.1mm plug with or without the Extension cable.  The green charging indicator light on the EXP PRO battery will flash when charging.
  3. Remove battery or other device from the solar panel once charging is complete.

Expect longer charge times using the solar panel compared to the AC or DC charge cords as sun conditions will vary greatly. Estimated Charge Times (full charge) in optimal conditions with panel in correct orientation in full sun:

EXP48PRO - 6 hours

EXP96PRO - 12 hours.

It is very important to keep the solar panel pointed directly at the sun.  If the angle is off by a few degrees, the efficiency can be greatly reduced.
