Parallel Connecting EXP PRO Batteries
Did you know that you can parallel connect EXP PRO batteries together to increase your capacity?
The process is fairly simple. By using the provided DC charge cord plug the 5mm barrel shaped end into the charge port on the battery you intend to use for powering your device. Then plug the DC end (this looks like a cigarette style plug) into the main power port marked 12V/15A on the secondary battery. This will add more available capacity, and will allow a seamless draw of power from both batteries at one time.
Why would someone want to parallel connect two batteries together?
There are several reasons for parallel connecting batteries together. Here are a couple popular reasons we've found:
1. You're going on an airplane and need back up power where one battery won't be enough power for your adventure. Airlines have their own rules for safety. Luckily there are ways to work within these rules while still being able to bring enough power on trips. Up to two of the EXP48PRO batteries can be brought with you in your carry-on luggage. The FAA regulations state the limit is 160 watt hours (Wh), and the EXP48PRO only contains 153.6 Wh per battery. Unfortunately, the EXP96PRO battery currently exceeds this range and is not TSA compliant.

Using the parallel battery hook-up is it possible to charge two batteries at once? I have the EXP 96 Pro and the EXP48 Pro.
